Initial Design Consultation

For your initial design consultation, you can either visit our showroom or we can come to your home, see your space and take measurements. Prior to our meeting, please feel free to investigate our “Resources” section and fill out our kitchen and bathroom surveys and/or utilize our measuring guide so you can measure your space and bring your measurements to your first appointment. You can also gather any pictures, posts on Pinterest or Houzz that help define your style. It is always useful to gather a wish-list or must haves for your new space.

During your initial meeting, your designer will ask questions to help define your goals and tastes and guide you to determine the parameters of your project. Round budget figures will be discussed so your designer can incorporate it into their initial design. Your design team member will use all the information gathered at your initial appointment to develop a design plan that is designed specifically for you.

Shortly after, you visit the Fleetwood showroom and we will present with a design proposal; this will include your initial design and an estimated cost range. At this point, any changes to the design will be discussed. You will then chose materials including cabinetry styles and finishes, the counter top, appliances, the backsplash and flooring. For the final selections, you will chose the fixtures, hardware and lighting.

A final proposal will be presented, this includes comprehensive plans including detailed perspective and elevation drawings, a construction plan, an electrical plan, a lighting plan and we will provide permit plans as needed. The proposal also includes a detailed contract with all final material selections. Once the contract is agreed and signed upon, cabinets and other materials are ordered and your project is put on our installation schedule. Most projects start 4-6 weeks after contracts are signed.
At this point the first phase of your remodeling project is complete. Thus begins the installation phase.

However, approximately one week before our installation crew arrives, Fleetwood will notify you of your official start date. To prepare for our arrival, all personal belongings should be removed from the future worksite, including cabinets, closets and countertop items. This allows for an easy transition to a construction site for our installation team. Please refer to “Preparing for Our Arrival” under Services section for complete guide.

At this point, we arrive in your home Fleetwood will stage your materials in our warehouse, to ensure that all materials are accounted for prior to the onset of construction.
